About Love & Commitment

It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and preserving courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created, in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations.

Love is worth fighting for; being brave for, risking everything for. The trouble is if you don't risk anything, you risk even more.

Marriage is an edifice that must be rebuilt every day. The story of love itself is not important. One must be capable of loving by putting the others desires into careful and deliberate consideration as to avoid hurting the others feelings.

The only way of full knowledge lies in the act of love; this transcends words. It is the daring plunge into the experience of a union. To love somebody is not just a strong feeling—it is a decision—it is a judgment and a promise.

This evening Jesse and Allison made a conscious decision, a judgment, a promise
to each other in front of all of us as witnesses and supporters. I WISH YOU BOTH THE
STAMINA AND FAITH TO COMPROMISE YOUR DIFFERENCES AND ALWAYS BE HONEST WITH EACH OTHER; WITHOUT HONESTY THERE IS NO TRUST AND WITHOUT TRUST, THIS NEWLY MADE FOUNDATION WILL CRUMBLE AND FALL. A HOUSE DIVIDED CANNOT STAND.

With that all said..........I wish my son Jesse and his new bride, Allison a happy, healthy, loving relationship built on consideration of each other, promise, and durability for the future.

Love, Mom
