There isn't a day that goes by that I do not think of my adult children and granddaughter. Heartwarming memories I call them. Posted under my kitchen cupboard is a picture of my parents at the age of seventy-one and seventy-two with my son at the age of eleven and my daughter at the age of eight. My son smiling from ear to ear with his back teeth missing, and my daughter with a happy smile as I have my arm around both and my parents surrounding all of us.

As our children become adults and have lives of their own, I miss the children they were and how they looked as they grew and became adults. I miss the kids who were in the picture so I posted a picture of my family at those special ages of which I wanted to reconnect with them. The general public does not understand unless you have been trained in the study of medicine, psychology or social work that one can connect with another person by connecting to their image in a picture or one which is instilled in your mind. You can connect to their inner child just as you did when they were growing up in your household. You can also look at a picture of yourself as a child and connect with the inner child of yourself, in order to love yourself. I think this is such a useful concept.

So get to saved pictures on your phone or computer, and display the pictures that are close to your heart. Share them on social media or make a collage of pictures dear to your heart and frame it. Hang it in the room you visit the most. Even if it is the bathroom!
