What is a Spirit Guide?

I used to be confused as to what a Spirit Guide was until I saw one at work. I do believe that there are all kinds of spiritual beings in heaven who are assigned various tasks. They seem to have a human component about them. However, they have not lived on this earth because I heard two of them talking as they were straddled over the side of my body as I lay asleep. One guide asked the other, what was on my legs! I like to tell this story over and over.

I went to sleep and had been up writing and drinking diet Coke late into the night. I was not getting exercise but was rather concentrating on getting my first book put together to have it published. I was driven to get this particular book done.

When I went to bed, I snuggled under a thick quilt in our king-sized bed next to my other half. I remember feeling sick to my stomach from the acid in the Coke. During my sleep, I spiritually saw two spirit beings one on each side of my body. They were dressed in white and were female. They had come for a reason and that reason was to take me to the other side! Oh boy, I was not at all ready to go anywhere that I could not control. My daughter was expecting her first baby. Being neither old nor ill, I thought this was very odd indeed. I do remember saying to God when I was a mere child that I did not want to die as an old person. I had seen so many dead people in coffins between the ages of three and four years old. My parents lived only blocks away from the local funeral home in our small town. My mother, being a bored housewife, would take me there to see dead people when I was a child and she would give her condolences to the families that she did not even know personally. She was odd.

It took me a long time to understand why I hated red roses! Back then, red roses
were the only color used on coffins! So when I got red roses from a guy, that same sick
smell of a funeral home would sweep over me. I also disliked any heart-shaped necklace
or piece of jewelry because my uncle had given his fiance a diamond in a heart-shaped
necklace just before he became ill and passed away at only twenty-six years old. My
mother then went to pieces over his death.

Let's go back to spirit guides. These two spirit guides were talking about the fat on my legs and one said to the other, “What is this on her legs?” The other answered, “That is adipose cells called fat which is caused by eating too much sugar!” From this, we know that these guides had never lived on this earth. They were there to take me through the tunnel of death to the other side. I saw the tunnel (and it is real) being large, round, and dark gray with voices coming from the other side. I now know that we do not go to the other side alone. We have two escorts which whisk us through it in the blink of an eye. It is not a long drawn out passage.

For those of you who do not know what a chakra is, it is an energy pocket located in the human body. We have seven of them (some say eight) which are shaped like ice cream on a cone. The round circular part is located on the front side of your body.

The cone part goes through your body coming to a point on the back side of the body. Reiki healers put energy from their hands into these areas to ease stress and reduce pain in the body. Reiki energy has the capacity to put pure energy into these chakras for the purpose of nourishing your body's organs. I actually could spit up a light strain of blood from the discomfort in my heart chakra. I had asked God for some spiritual healing in that area. To my amazement, I witnessed with my spiritual eyes a hand with a white glove going into my chest and pulling out a bullet. So, do I believe in spirit guides and what they all do? Yes, I have witnessed it for myself! Not all people have the gift of spiritually seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, touching or sensing in the spirit realm. Try not to judge those that do! If you want any of these spiritual gifts, simply ask for them but your life will dramatically change. Blessings!
